Dear Abby
Dear Abby,
I am a young girl in school and like most school girls I have a crush. The boy I like is adventurous, brave, and even sweet. He is kind and he even proposed to me! He explained what that was and I said yes, but then I found out that he was already engaged! I told him that I didn’t want to ever speak to him again, and now I miss him.
-Crushed
Dear Crushed,
This boy obviously likes you, or he wouldn’t have proposed. You were hurt when you found out he didn’t keep promises. So, you questioned his ability to keep his promises to you. Boys are very prideful creatures, and when you doubted him it hurt his pride. Now both of you are hurt; apologize even though you did nothing wrong. He will think that you are truly sorry for wronging him, but he will still be sore about it for a while. Talk things out, and praise him when he “show’s off” because chances are it’s for you.
